Queen of Hearts

The People´s Princess

Iconic Rhetorics Series #2

Queen of Hearts works with Lady Diana as a reference point for an observation on status in society. As ‘The People’s Princess’, Diana stands for the paradox relation between monarchy and the people. Navaridas & Deutinger raise questions about the manipulative display of private and public affairs and the symbolic value of inherited power structures.

PRESS

“Impressive, playful, dense, thought-provoking. A league of their own.”

Daniel Hadler, Kleine Zeitung

“A performance that goes under your skin.”

Eveline Koberg, tanz.at

“Highly original. Deep. Very precise.”

Ditta Rudle, tanzschrift.at

"Don´t miss what starts as a happy sad, bitter sweet symphony of broken poetry, inviting for your own projections! A Lady Di in drag speaks out of the closet of a double life of the public figure slave to the rhythm and pace of her interdependent puppet master aka partner in crime to later name what is at stake in todays democracies: do you like it? do you?"
